Frequently asked questions about workout plans
Do I need to know my 1RM?
No. You can leave 1RM fields blank or estimate your max from a recent set of 3–10 reps. The program will still give you working weights; you can refine them later from your dashboard.
Can I use this with a home gym?
Yes. When you build your program, you choose the equipment you have (barbell, dumbbells, kettlebells, cables, machines, etc.). Your plan is generated to use only what you have available.
How many days per week can I train?
You can choose 3, 4, 5, or 6 days per week. The builder suggests a split that fits your goal (e.g. Push/Pull/Legs for hypertrophy, full-body options for strength).
What plan lengths are available?
Plans are typically 8, 12, or 16 weeks. You pick the length in the builder. Longer plans include more progression phases; shorter ones are great for blocks or trying the system.
What goals does Barbell Blueprint support?
We support hypertrophy (muscle building), strength, fat loss, women’s strength, athletic performance, and general fitness. Your goal shapes exercise selection, volume, and how the plan progresses.
Will my program change as I get stronger?
Yes. From your dashboard you can log your lifts and update your numbers. Your working weights and progression are based on those inputs, so the plan stays aligned with your current strength.
How do I get my plan after I build it?
After you complete the builder and checkout, your personalized plan is sent to your email as a PDF. You can also view the full program anytime from your dashboard.
What does the dashboard show?
Your dashboard shows your next scheduled workout, your full weekly plan, and lets you log completed exercises (sets, reps, weight). You can also see nutrition guidance, track progress, and change your password or settings.
How do I log my workouts?
From the dashboard, open the day you trained and use the “Log training” section for each exercise. Enter sets, reps, and weight as you complete them. This helps track progress and keeps your plan up to date.
Is this beginner friendly?
Yes. When you build your program, you select your experience level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced). Progression and complexity are adjusted so the plan matches where you are.
Can I switch or regenerate my plan later?
If you need a new plan (different goal, days, or equipment), contact support. We can regenerate a plan for you and send an updated PDF; your dashboard will reflect the new program.
